Public Art

Public art enriches our community, offering countless chances to uncover new and exciting aspects of your neighbourhood.

Maple Ridge ACT Transition

As of January 1, 2026, the City of Maple Ridge will assume responsibility for operating the ACT Arts Centre and Theatre from the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council. Our intention is to maintain all existing bookings that had previously been arranged. As we receive information from the Arts Council, City staff will be reaching out directly to clients with scheduled exhibitions, performances, and events to confirm their bookings and ensure a smooth transition. Supporting artists and the performing arts is a priority for the City. We are committed to working collaboratively with our community to provide a stable and inclusive environment for creativity to thrive as we move into this next chapter for the ACT. Please reach out to theact@mapleridge.ca if you have been impacted by a cancellation or would like further information.

Public Art Installations

Public art comes in many shapes and forms, adding intrigue to our community. It enriches our daily lives, whether we’re commuting to work, enjoying a lunchtime walk, or leisurely exploring our neighbourhood. Thoughtfully designed public art projects ensure that each piece harmonizes with its surroundings, whether it’s on a bustling downtown corner, in a serene green space, or in a blend of rural and urban settings.
