2025 Official Community Plan Housing Update: Updates to the Official Community Plan to align with the Province’s Local Government Housing Framework and new housing legislation introduced. These amendments integrate the findings from the City’s interim 2024 Housing Needs Report and initiatives from the 2024 Proposed Housing Action Plan.
Hammond Area Plan Update: General housekeeping and updates to development related policies to implement recent legislative changes by the Province. Changes which include as-of-right housing densities in single-detached and duplex-zoned properties and transit-oriented development enabled by the Local Government Act.

Delegation: The Maple Ridge Climate Hub shared that the Climate Hub are now a registered charity  and the 2025 Climate Champion Award winners. In addition to individuals and businesses making a difference, Mayor, Council and staff were honoured for their tangible efforts such as Mayor’s Task Force on Climate Action, creating the Climate Action Plan: Resilient Future 2050, and implementing the the Zero Carbon Step Code.
Delegation: Steve Ranta shared on transparency and public engagement in municipal decision making, referencing the recently released September 2025 Open Meetings: Best Practices for Local Governments document from the BC Ombudsperson, and requested Council review and follow the suggestions therein.
